Women’s Empowerment Series

The Women’s Empowerment Series

Women’s Empowerment Series is a 6-month program.  During the first 12-weeks, there are weekly classes that cover topics like trauma-informed parenting, education & resume building, health & fitness, self-care, domestic violence recognition & prevention, addiction, and more. Class is Tuesday nights from 5-8 PM starting Tuesday September 13th. The classes are aimed at providing guidance, support, and resources to participants and empower them to take control of their lives. Classes are taught by local professionals who generously donate their time. In addition to these classes, participants have the opportunity to build one-on-one relationships with peer mentors while simultaneously getting to know other local women in a safe, positive, and supportive environment.
The second 12-weeks of the 6 month commitment will include mentors and mentees continuing to meet with each other once a week to help implement what was learned during class. Those meetings include meeting in person, phone calls, text messages or attending our other programming.

Need a Mentor?

This program includes a hand-picked mentor to accompany participants through the classes they will attend. The weekly classes can be emotionally taxing so the role of our mentors is to guide, support, and create a long-lasting relationship with their mentees. When undergoing a life-changing journey, it’s important to have a strong support system and positive role models with whom our participants can build trust and rapport. Our mentorship program is what sets us apart from other organizations.

Youth Empowerment Series

We offer youth programming to the children of our participants while they are attending class. Aimed to mirror what their mothers are learning in class, our Youth Empowerment Series is focused on providing children with valuable resources and tools to set them up for success and connect with their mothers on content and invite them to ask questions.
